Check Out This Webinar: Medicaid and the Road Ahead
The so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act“ makes sweeping changes to Medicaid that are expected to strip coverage from many current enrollees, reduce federal funding to states, and force new Medicaid work requirements beginning next year.
These changes will have lasting consequences for patients, families, healthcare providers, and state budgets, and the stakes are especially high for Ohio.
Medicaid covers 26% of Ohio’s population, including 33% of the state’s children, and 37% of babies born in Ohio are born to mothers on Medicaid. At least 10 Ohio hospitals are at risk of closing in 2027 because of how heavily they rely on Medicaid reimbursement.
If you want to understand what’s ahead for Ohio and why these changes matter, we encourage you to watch this important recorded webinar from KFF in partnership with States Newsroom.
In this webinar, experts discuss:
- How federal Medicaid cuts will affect states like Ohio.
- The impact of new work requirements on coverage and access to care.
- What providers, advocates, and families can expect in the months ahead.
- The broader implications for the future of Medicaid.
At Healthcare for All Ohioans, we believe informed advocates are powerful advocates.
