Featured Speakers:

Katherine Isaac

Katherine Isaac is the Executive Director of the Debs Jones Douglass Institute. The Institute was named for labor champions Eugene Debs, Mother Jones, and Frederick Douglass and is working to address the healthcare crisis by organizing workers in support of Medicare for All.

Debs Jones Douglass

Katherine will speak about a Just Transition from our current system to a Medicare for All system and how that will affect jobs.

Mark Dudzic

Mark Dudzic is the National Coordinator for the Labor Campaign for Single Payer.

The primary purpose of the Labor Campaign for Single-Payer Health Care is to increase and coordinate grassroots labor support for a Single-Payer Medicare-for-All healthcare system in America because we believe that health care is a fundamental human right and that the labor movement must take the lead in the fight for healthcare justice.

We work to pass national legislation such as H.R. 1384 (the Medicare-for-All Act of 2019) and S. 1129 (the Sanders Medicare for All Act).

We support viable campaigns for state single-payer reforms in Vermont, California, Washington, Oregon, New York, Maine and dozens of other states.

We promote a broad educational effort in our unions, communities and among all working people about the single-payer solution to our broken healthcare system.

We stand in solidarity with workers everywhere who are fighting for healthcare justice.
