April 24, 2021 Program for Labor
10:00 via Zoom
We are pleased to be able to offer a program specifically for Labor to answer questions and concerns that the Labor movement has concerning health care and the Medicare for All movement.
Registration is required for the program. You can register here:
Katherine Isaac is the Executive Director of the Debs Jones Douglass Institute. The Institute was named for labor champions Eugene Debs, Mother Jones, and Frederick Douglass and is working to address the healthcare crisis by organizing workers in support of Medicare for All.
Katherine will speak about a Just Transition from our current system to a Medicare for All system and how that will affect jobs.
Mark Dudzic is the National Coordinator for the Labor Campaign for Single Payer.
Katha Fortier, Assistant to the National President of Unifor, is available to speak at your meeting. Katha is the Assistant to the President who oversees the health care sector - more information about Unifor’s Health Care sector is available here: https://www.unifor.org/en/unifor-health-care-0.
We are hoping to invite Harriet Applegate, former Executive Secretary of the Northshore AFL-CIO to act as the moderator for the event.
