KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Karen Davenport, Director of Health Policy at the Center for American Progress, a nonpartisan research and educational institute based in Washington, D.C. Before joining the Center, she served as Washington Director for the Medicare Rights Center. From 1999 to 2004 Ms. Davenport was a Senior Program Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation where she developed and managed national programs dedicated to increasing health insurance coverage and improving long-term care financing & services.
A panel discussion on the costs and consequences of the health care crisis - with perspectives from business, health care and nonprofit leaders - will follow.
